An alternative route to Leg 78, official of the Via Fracigena, starting from Fiorenzuola d'Arda. The route takes place mainly on the road passing from Castelnuovo Fogliani up to Fidenza. The last stretch of the plain offers the opportunity to admire two religious buildings of great interest: the Cistercian Abbey of Chiaravalle della Colomba, with the suggestive Cloister, and the Cathedral of Fidenza, a fine example of Lombard Romanesque dedicated to San Donnino. A nice bike ride starting from Pontenure and continuing passing through Colombara, Casale Grande, and following the Nure stream up to Padri-Orlini-Chiesa. Once in Riglio, follow the road parallel to the Riglio stream until you return to the starting point, passing through Valconasso. A path to do even when it is wet.

The first hill route offers wonderful views. Leaving Medesano you cross the Taro Fluvial Park in the last track. The Pieve of Cabriolo, Costamezzana Castle, and the Church of Siccomonte deserve a visit. Be careful crossing some secondary roads especially a short section past Cabriolo, from Osteria del Sole in Costamezzana and at the entrance to Cella.
