This route retraces the ancient Cassia Vetus, of Etruscan origins and is a hilly itinerary with hairpin bends and spectacular landscapes among vineyards, olive groves and small villages. Most of the route takes place on a paved road but can be done with any type of bicycle. The itinerary starts from Florence and reaches Arezzo passing through the Balze del Valdarno.

A nice walk through Florence, starting from Piazza di Santa Croce, near the Basilica, and continuing towards the Ponte alle Grazie. From here, the itinerary crosses the Arno River and proceeds toward Palazzo Vegni Park until it reaches Porta San Giorgio. A route that can be done on foot or by bicycle starting from Florence, near the Piazza di Santa Croce and reaching Pontassieve. The route takes place on cycle paths or paths that flank the Arno River up to San Jacopo al Girone. From here we proceed to the point of arrival passing through Conpiobbi and Le Sieci. Once in Pontassieve you can decide whether to take the train back to Florence or resume the outward journey.
