This hike or bike ride is located northeast of Fontenay-le-Comte and starts from the parking lot of the cemetery of Saint-Michel-le-Cloucq. The route goes through La Balingue, Chemin des Bajarderies, L'Orbrie, La Noue, Charzais and Brelouze, among others, before returning to the starting point.

This route forms a loop in the Mervent oak forest between the towns of Pissotte and Mervent while skirting the La Vendée river. Some rock passages are quite technical. At the end of the route you will cross the Mervent dam, built between 1955 and 1958 with the aim of producing drinking water, fighting against flooding and maintaining the low water flow of the Marais.

The route goes through, among other things, the Forest Alley of Brûleau, the Forest Alley of Balingue, the Forest Alley of the Fontaine à l'Ermite and the Chêne à l'Ermite, before returning to the starting point.
