The Estero River Scrub has four trails that visitors can hike through different types of environments. This trail is a combination of the four. Gopher tortoises, warblers, wrens, and woodpeckers are commonly seen. Visitors hiking to the river can stop to rest at one of the benches located along the bank. This area was been a site of water control to help reduce flooding in the Orange River and now creates a beautiful habitat for more than 140 species of animal and plant life.
