This route starts by crossing over a few bridges and boardwalks to connect to the Blue Heron Trail. Along this trail, there are a couple of different observation platforms where visitors can observe wildlife from a safe distance. The route then connects to the Gopher Tortoise Trail which winds back to the parking lot.

This route consists of a combination of trails. Starting on the Blue Heron Trail, the route then connects to the Otter Trail on the east portion of the area. From here, the trail takes an old dirt road to loop back to the start of the route. Most of the path is exposed to the sun with little shade. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area to observe.

This is an easy and flat trail that travels through a scrubland environment. Users recommend bringing sun protection as many sections of this trail are exposed. The trail can become muddy during wet conditions and waterproof shoes are recommended. There are many opportunities to view wildlife and local flowers along the way.
