Airfield Falls trailhead—- tucked into Westworth area, right before entry into the base. Lovely plantings of flowers at entrance. Beautiful clean paved trail.

This route combines two different trails which make for a great day out on the trail. There is a decent amount of elevation gain that is primarily located along the Canyon Ridge Trail, which features a few stairs. The terrain can be loose and rocky, and sturdy footwear is recommended. You may hear some noise from the road due to the highway being fairly close at certain points.

This beautiful route features a levee crossing leading to forested interlocking trails at Fort Worth Nature Center. The whole family will enjoy this relatively flat and scenic trail with many opportunities to view wildlife along the way. The trail is well-maintained and easy to navigate with a lot of tree coverage to escape the summer heat.

There is a beautiful variety of scenery along this trail for everyone to enjoy. Great views of the lake can be seen on many sections of the route. There is a mix of both sun and shade, but bringing sun protection is advised when hiking in the summer months. For those who wish to extend their route, you can continue along the Riverbottom Trail.

The offline map is recommended to get oriented as several users have reported that this trail is not well marked and/or that there may be poor cell reception in this area. The views are beautiful down by the dam and there are enough trails to customize the route to be as long and challenging as you prefer. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers.
