Fourfouras - Toubotos Prinos - Timios Stavros Psiloritis (Φουρφουράς - Τουμπωτός Πρίνος - Τίμιος Σταυρός Ψηλορείτης) Ascent to Psiloritis (or Idi) summit, Timios Stavros, which is the highest mountain in Crete (2456m). Platania Gorge Loop (Φαράγγι Πλατάνια κυκλική) An uphill route on the western skirts of Mount Psiloritis, at Peristeres, which starts and ends at the Platania village. The route climbs up the slope of the gorge among bushy vegetation and reaches the chapel of Agios Antonios. From there, it returns back downhill on the other side of the gorge, along a path and then a dirt road. Spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and the Gulf of Messara in the distance to the south.

Kouroutes - Toumpotos Prinos Refuge - Timios Stavros - Agathias (Κουρούτες - Καταφύγιο Τουμπωτός Πρίνος - Τίμιος Σταυρός - Αγκαθιάς) The route starts from the village of Kouroutes and goes up the western slopes of Mt. Pardi Forest (Δάσος στο Παρδί) A beautiful route on the western slopes of Mount Psiloritis, which starts from a dirt road, higher than the village of Kouroutes. The route follows the dirt road leading to the Toubotos Prinos Refuge and climbs uphill through the beautiful forest of Pardi, one of the few remaining prino-forests in Crete. The route passes by the chapel of Agios Titos, where there is a spring and a picnic area. The return almost by the same road with small detours.

Opsigias - Mount Samitos (Οψιγιάς - Όρος Σάμιτος) From the small village of Opsigias, a bit higher than the village of Monastiraki, the road goes up the northern slope of Mount Samitos. It follows a good dirt road on an uphill route of continuous zigzags, among very sparse and bushy vegetation. In the middle of the route, it reaches and passes the Agios Dimitrios chapel, heading towards the summit. The view from above to the surrounding plains and peaks is panoramic and spectacular.
