This is a short trail that hosts some scenic views of the river. There is a moderate amount of elevation gain and some stairs along the route that can be challenging. This is a nice and secluded area and great for those who want some peaceful moments in the outdoors. There is plenty of wildlife and a variety of birds to observe.

This is a beautiful and challenging trail that leads to the summit of Enchanted Rock. Don't be afraid to get down on your hands and knees as you negotiate some of the boulders. Keep an eye out for the trail posts that help to orient you in the right direction. Many parts of the trail are rocky and can be tricky to balance.

This scenic trail leads to the Frog Pond and returns along a short loop. This is one of the easiest trails in the park which features shade and lots of wildflowers. The pond makes for a great little swimming spot that the whole family can enjoy. There are many other trails in the park for those wishing to extend their route.

During the summer months, it is best to start this hike in the early morning when the sun is not directly overhead. There is not much shade along this path, which is mainly comprised of rocks and sand. Great views are located along the west side of the trail, and there are many chances to spot wildlife. Dogs are allowed only on this trail loop and not on the rock dome itself.

Visitors can see incredible panoramic views of the park and the Texas Hill Country from the 1,823-ft. summit of Enchanted Rock. There can be a very high volume of visitors on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and school breaks. The park will sometimes close when they reach capacity. With the state parks reservation system, you can purchase “Save the Day” passes up to 30 days before your visit. Passes may only be available online during busy times.
