This trail is a segment of the Fjord Trail, also known as Regional Cycle Route 40. It is a nature route along Roskilde Fjord and Isefjord. This segment runs between Frederiksværk and Frederikssund. The route runs close to the coast, where there is an almost constant sea view, as well as a fresh breeze coming from the fjords. The route follows old existing paths, fields and forest roads as well as a few newly constructed paths.

The trail passes several lakes such as Lillesø and other small lakes. Here the view of the lakes can be enjoyed, where it is also possible to see ducks and other birds.
