Travel through a dense forest of old-growth oak trees in the heart of Gainesville. This family-friendly hike is easy and flat, which makes for a quick and convenient way to get outside. The trail travels alongside Hogtown Creek and it is not advised to wade in the creek due to contaminants found in the runoff.

This is a great, shaded trail with plenty of opportunities to see wildlife in the area. There is a good mix of hills to add some elevation gain along the way. The trail is mostly shaded and travels through a forested area. Bug spray is recommended due to the number of bugs present in the warm months.

This trail starts off wandering through a forest of pine and oak. Hike into the ravine where you will see hickory, gum, and magnolia trees. There are sinkholes throughout the trailside. The park has a fee of $4 per vehicle and $2 per extra passenger charge. Paying is accepted on the honor system and exact cash is required.
