The scenery in this area is diverse and includes coastal prairie, mudflats, overwater boardwalks, and meadows. There are plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities in the area, and this is a popular spot for observing coastal birds. After heavy rainfall, these trails can become muddy and flooded and it is best to wait until a dry couple of days to enjoy the trail.

This scenic mountain biking route starts at the Veterans Pavilion parking lot. All bike trails are one-way and well-marked. Moderate to advanced riding skills are needed when on these routes due to difficult terrain and helmets are required at all times. This is a dirt trail along the bay that travels through several parks. Be prepared to stray from your course as there are many primitive side trails and things to explore. There are several road crossings and a section that is shared with vehicles, so please use caution.
