Gilleleje Badehotel

This trail starts near Kysthusene and takes you along the coast in Gilleleje. Here you will come past Nakkehoved Lighthouse, which together with Kullen in Sweden, is the marking for entry into the Øresund. Last but not least, you will pass Søborg Castle Ruins, which was one of the strongest castles in the 12th century. It is believed that the castle was demolished during the Count's Feud.

One of the best things to do when in Gilleleje is to walk this path, the Gilbjergstien. The path runs between Vesterbrogade in Gilleleje town to Gilbjerghoved. Some of the rocks here are 33 meters high and offer a fantastic view of the city and the sea. On the path you pass the Gilbjerg memorial stone for the Danish philosopher Søren Kirkegaard.

This trail takes you from Gilleleje and around the surrounding countryside. Among other things, you will pass Søborg Castle Ruin, where the castle was built in the 12th century. Margrethe, daughter of Valdemar Atterdag, was born in the castle. The lake around the castle was drained in 1872-96, but in 2023 there are plans to get water back into the lake again. In addition, you will also pass Nakkehoved lighthouse.

This trail starts in Gilleleje and comes along large parts of the coast to Helsingør. The trail will have a beautiful view, which offers both forest and ocean views. Along the way, the trail will pass through the edge of several forests such as Hornbæk Plantage, Hammermølle forest and Teglstrup Hegn.
