At the western border of the Doubs Regional Natural Park, you will follow Segment 24 of the GR®5 from Canton du Jura to Biaufond. The trail starts in Goumois in the small village right on the Doubs river and then it goes past some campsites and along the state border. Following the course of the water one comes to Cote du Boichat and then on the other side of the river it goes back to the beginning. This trail can be a bit muddy after a few bad weather days.

The trail starts a few meters behind the Swiss border in France but then leads right through the Doubs Regional Park on swiss territory. Following the road for a short stretch the trail then leads up past Muriaux to the Refuge des Sommetres, which is not serviced. At the same time, the trail also leads on the walls of the Sommetres, which are well known in the area. After that natural highlight the hike leads back down into the valley. This 12.55 kilometer route is located in the Doubs department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. You will leave from the village of Goumois on the banks of the Doubs. You will take the Route du Jura until kilometer 0.5 where you will turn left into the undergrowth. At the fork, you will turn left on the path that joins the river. You will follow the Doubs to the south. You will cross Le Doubs and go north to the bridge which will take you back to Goumois.
