Walk along Kentwood's Northeast Park trails. Trail consists of wide, elevated boardwalks and asphalt walls with a mulch covered side loop. Routed through wooded areas, lowlands, and a bit of meadow. Wildlife abounds, but the nearby freeway and airport contribute continuous noise.

Calvin University Park. Ecosystem Preserve and public hiking trails (only). Wood chips on path, bridges, boardwalks over swamp. Great green space off East beltline. Nature abounds. (Tonight saw Barred Owl, baby raccoon, , ducks and geese. Couple on walk spotted Pileated Woodpecker.) Dusk brings a chorus of peepers (frogs) in the ponds.

There are two trailheads with parking - one at Wing and 60th and one at 52nd and Stauffer (where there is a seasonal bathroom).
