This 0.5 mile one-way trail takes visitors through a bottomland hardwood forest and terminates at a blind, a special cover to hide from wildlife. Here, photographers of all skill levels can observe and photograph wildlife that is drawn to the waters of the Stillwater bayou tributary. Visitors can see wood ducks, prothonotary warblers, hooded mergansers, red-eared sliders and many other species.

The Herbert Nature Trail is a 0.9 mile loop that meanders along the banks of Happy Hollow Lake and features an observation tower at its midpoint, which provides views of a meadow and reforestation area.
