This hike is located to the south-west of Grignan, a village elected among the Most Beautiful Villages in France. Grignan and its incomparable beauty between blond stones and lavender, scrubland, boxwood, holm oaks, is a medieval village offering "a beautiful and triumphant view" to the four cardinal corners, as Madame de Sévigné said, especially from the Château de Grignan. The route goes through Chamaret and partly runs along Le Lauzon.

This route takes the Chemins des Souterras and Petit Nice, and passes in front of the remains of the Château de Chamaret, as well as the Romanesque church of Saint-Barthélemy.
