This is the route of the Haifa Stairs Race (מרוץ המדרגות חיפה) which begins on the port in the lower city and ascends through all layers of the city to the finish line in Gan HaEm (Mothers Garden) in the center of the Carmel. Be advised that this route may be very busy on certain days, especially Friday.

This scenic route runs along the waterline at Haifa Port and HaShmona Station (דרום נמל חיפה ותחנת השמונה). Begin this short city walk at the Haifa Merkaz HaShmona terminal and proceed along the port to the Carmel Station and the Saint Gabriel Church before head back along the port walkway, walking parallel to the railroad tracks.
