A crushed asphalt trail that is well maintained that goes around 3 sides of the wetland. It has an observation deck as well as benches along the way. Mostly open prairie with a couple of groupings of trees. This is a wetland area with a lolipop trail that is about 2 miles in length. Great place to view wildlife especially ducks and geese.

This is a gravel loop around the pond at Family Park. There are fishing piers and a fenced dog park. Accessibility: There are 4 designated paved accessible spaces in the gravel parking lot off of Sands Street at the northwest end of the trail. All of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. According to the park website, there are 2 wheelchair-accessible fishing piers and wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. This route is a simple loop trail at Lake Vermillion. It is a pretty trail, mostly through prairie grass and wildflowers though one section passes through tall pines and another winds through a forested area. It's a great hike for families and a nice run.
