This hike starts north of Barr. The route goes through the Château du Landsberg, La Handschab, the Kiosk Jadelot, the Rocher du Wachstein, Schaffstein, the Maennelstein, among others, and partly follows the Sentier du Mur Païen. The route continues via the Rocher du Panorama, Beckenfels, Mont Sainte-Odile and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, part of the Convent of Mont Sainte-Odile, and the Abbey of Truttenhausen, before returning to the starting point.

The Barr region has a very varied geology (schists, granite, diorite, volcanic deposits, sandstone, etc.) resulting from a long and complex formation.
