The Finnish Museum Agency has classified the island as a culturally historically valuable environment. There are private villas in Länsi-Villinki, but you can walk in the interior of the island under every man's rights.

This route goes through the coastal cities of southern Finland from Helsinki to the Russian border. The route starts from the Helsinki railway station and goes through Kalasatama to the northeast. Along the way are Söderkulla, Porvoo, Loviisa, Siltakylä, Kotka, Hamina, and Virojoki. Along the route there are forest and field landscapes, as well as suburbs and urban areas. There are several services in the towns, and there are also rest stops and shelters along the route.
