Beginning in late January, thousands of Great Egrets, followed by Little Blue Herons, Cattle Egrets, Snowy Egrets and Roseate Spoonbills make their nests and rear their young in the rookery. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers. The route travels through a shaded forest and features a fast and fun trail. There is a bike wash station available courtesy of TRAIL and Mountain Bike Acadiana. Parking can be located along E Alexander St, near the tennis courts.
