A lovely hike which can be slippery in places. The start from Away with the Fairies Lodge is mostly downhill and flat through a breathtaking forest with many magnificent smaller waterfalls along the way. It is a surprisingly long walk despite what it looks like on map but so beautiful and really almost always in the shade of the forest so you can hike in the middle of the day. Many rock pools to bathe in and the water is perfectly drinkable. The highlight is the Madonna waterfall.

This track incorporates the Madonna and Child, Bridal Veil and Swallowtail Falls as well as the Big Tree of Hogsback, and some other points of interest. This trail can be completed in either direction as a hike or run. Technical difficulty is difficult due to the precarious drop offs and steep gradients as one makes ones way up to and near the various falls. Take care! Brilliant forests and well worth the outing and effort. Take along water, food and camera.
