The Aardhuisroute is a beautiful nature cycle route set out by the ANWB. During the bike ride you can enjoy all the typical landscapes that the Veluwe has to offer: from dense forests to vast moors. The route leads past Elspeet, the castle of Staverden and along the winding Staverdense brook.

The starting point of this walking route is Het Aardhuis, the special historic visitor center of Kroondomein Het Loo. The impressive black wooden building is an ideal starting point for exploring the area. This is the official walking route of Het Aardhuis through the Aardhuispark, the adjacent park forests. You are almost guaranteed to encounter wild animals here, while walking through peaceful, ancient nature.
