This is a beautiful and short family-friendly trail to enjoy when visiting the area. While there is no entrance fee to enter the park and enjoy the hiking trail, there is a fee for a tour of the caverns. This route features a nice combination of trails with varied geographic features, pretty views of the lake, and a mix of terrain. Travel through wooded areas near the lake and make your way to the primitive camping area along Pecan Flats Trail. The trail can be rocky and rugged along one part of Pecan Flats Trail, and wearing proper footwear is advised.
