Looking for a great way to exercise outdoors that is conveniently located in the heart of Houston? This route travels from the northern bank of the Buffalo Bayou along the Quail Trail until linking up with the Anthills Trail on the south bank. There is a mix of terrain along this route with some paved sections and other natural dirt single-track portions.

The Quail Trail is a paved path on the northern bank of the Buffalo Bayou. It is often used by runners and road cyclists. This is one of several entrances to this trail. The Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary in West Houston is a wooded sanctuary that has a beautifully restored log cabin for visitors to check out. There are many educational programs hosted by Houston Audubon. There is an automatic gate that is open 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Monday- Saturday and 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday.

This path is paved and travels around the lakes of Fiorenza Park. The route is mostly exposed to the sun with little shade and it is suggested to bring plenty of water as there are no water fountains located along the way. Bird watchers will enjoy this area since there is a variety of birds that can be spotted here.
