This route travels from the northern bank of the Buffalo Bayou along the Quail Trail until linking up with the Anthills Trail on the south bank. There is a mix of terrain along this route with some paved sections and other natural dirt single-track portions.

The Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary in West Houston is a wooded sanctuary that has a beautifully restored log cabin for visitors to check out. There are many educational programs hosted by Houston Audubon. There is an automatic gate that is open 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Monday- Saturday and 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday.
