This preserve is one of the county's first open-space preserves that is great for walking, jogging, canoeing on the river, and riding bikes. The trail parallels the Elm Fork of the Trinity River and Mountain Creek and is a beautiful place to enjoy a peaceful walk. Some of the amenities of the park include a playground, basketball court, picnic pavilion, grills, and covered rest areas.
