The Petrópolis Environmental Protection Area covers mostly urban and rural areas in the municipality of Petrópolis. It is found within the distribution area of the Atlantic Forest. The trail is advanced and of long extension, passing through irregular paths, in addition to stretches with low vegetation, and has views of the Piabanha River. The route offers beautiful images of nature along the route.

This mountain biking and hiking path leaves from Fazenda Santo Antônio area, and head to Cone 3. The trail to the Cone is inside the Serra dos Órgãos Park, created in November 1939. The walk has several steep climbs, technical and exposed passages. Cone 3 is 1,647 meters high and is west of Morro do Mamute. The landscape has parts within dense forest, others where the vegetation is low, and still parts where the ground is rocky.
