Hampton Inn Jacksonville Ponte Vedra

This is a short but scenic walk through a salt marsh that serves as a natural haven for the wildlife in the surrounding area. The trail is mostly shaded except for the exposed overlooks. During periods of heavy rainfall, the trail may flood and close for certain periods of time. Bug spray is recommended due to the number of bugs present in the warm months.

This is the main trail in the park that is short and scenic. The main surface of the trail is paved with sections of boardwalk through a salt marsh. There are many overlooks over the intracoastal waters to get some beautiful pictures of the area and wildlife observations. There are informational signs throughout the route describing the variety of animals found in this environment. At the trailhead, there are grills, picnic tables, and restrooms.

Parking for this preserve is located at the end of West 1st Street and Begonia Street. There is plenty of parking spaces available here. This short and scenic hike offers visitors a chance to view Kestner Creek and the Intracoastal Waterway along the boardwalk section. There are portions of this trail that travel through a beautiful forested area where wildlife can be seen.

This trail travels through a beautiful salt marsh ecosystem and offers many opportunities to observe wildlife in the area. This route combines the best trails in this preserve and leads to many different marsh observation viewing decks. To the south end of the park, there is a boat launch for those who want to explore the area on water.

This is a scenic and easy-to-follow trail that leads visitors around the eastern portion of the preserve. The trail travels to several marsh overlooks that are great for observing the variety of wildlife in this area. There are picnic areas and a kayak landing available at the trailhead.
