This route takes visitors along the shores of the St. Johns River and out to a pier with a great view of downtown Jacksonville. Many sections of this trail are exposed and bringing sun protection is advised. The first section is a paved, wide trail in the shade between a park and a golf course. The second section is an elevated boardwalk along the river with great views and lots of folks fishing. The third section is a wooded loop with a lot of raised roots.

This is an easy and enjoyable trail that leads to an observation tower overlooking the river. The trail is partially paved although it can be uneven in some sections. The trail can become muddy during wet conditions and waterproof shoes are recommended. For those wishing to extend their hike, there are other trail connections leading to the north of the park via the Island Trail.

This loop uses a trail system of varying difficulties. The WKC trail is easy and best suited for beginners while the Nipsy Dipsy and Hoosker Doo are more challenging. For those wishing to extend their route, there are more trails located north of these trails to connect to. The trail surface is mostly hard-packed dirt along a singletrack trail.

This trail leads through verdant oak woodland and is located at Ringhaver Park, operated by the city of Jacksonville. The shady forest allows year-round hiking. In addition to hikers, paddlers also use the trail to access the canoe/kayak launch located on the Ortega River.
