This route combines driving and walking, and begins in Jerusalem, heads past Jericho (Do note, not everyone can enter Jericho, please look up entrance details prior to setting out) and proceeds to Mount Sodom, offering stunning views of the Dead Sea (ירושלים להר סדום דרך יריחו).

This route is popular with pilgrims wishing to follow in the supposed footprints of Mary (and John the Baptist) from Jerusalem to Ein Karem (עיר דוד לעין כרם) where Elizabeth lived. It is believed that Ein Karem is where Mary went for the Visitation, when she traveled over 90 miles from Nazareth and certainly passed through Jerusalem on the way. This route runs past the Church of St. John the Baptist, then to the Church of the Visitation.

This route runs through the Haredic neighbourhood of Meah She'arim (מצפה תומר ומאה שערים מעגלי) and offers unique insights into the lives of devout Jews. Do note, it is highly recommended to dress modestly when entering religious areas such as this!

This trail (עיר דוד לאבו גוש) runs through hilly country, past an area called "hill country of Judea" in the Bible, and is where it is said that Mary came to visit Elizabeth and where David came to retrieve the Ark of the Covenant. Abu Ghosh is known for its amazing food and sweets, and it is recommended to check out one of the local restaurants while there.
