This is a beautifully maintained, well marked, well travelled trail. The entire Horatio Colony Preserve has lots of connecting trails. There is a steep incline on both sides of this loop, but it is a relatively smooth path. Near the 19th century house built by colonists there is a view. You can see foundation stones, an old stove and even old bed frames. This loop is a very pleasant short walk that gives you great exercise. The further you get into the woods the less you hear the traffic.
