There is much to see and explore along this trail. Drachenburg Castle is definitely worth a look. Most of this route leads along the Rheinsteig. The moderate to difficult stage is almost alpine with an incline of 1149 m and a gradient of 1172. Shortly after the monastery, after a gentle entry, a shrine from 1724 appears. The Rheinsteig branches off to the left and the path becomes narrower and steeper on its way through the Siebengebirge.
