This is a moderately busy round-trip route that is easy to walk and is also suitable for families. It has a nice view all along the trail and is very pleasant and shady in the woods most of the time. The trail follows the irrigation canals (Waal) which help maintain the vineyards and apple trees in the valley. This great ascent hike leads to the beautiful Annenberg Castle | Castel Monte Sant'Anna (1039m) above Latsch | Laces in the Vinschgau | Val Venosta. First, path no. 5A leads through a sparse forest. After crossing the Tisserbach | Rio di Tis it continues on path no. 6 over the Sonnenberg up to Annenberg Castle | Castel Monte Sant'Anna and the Chapel of St. Anna. This hilltop castle was probably built in the 13th century and is now privately owned and therefore not open to the public.

A nice circular walk starting from the parking lot of Bierkeller 5A and proceeding along the path in a clockwise direction. Follow path 5A - Bierkeller trail until you reach Castel Montani di Sopra, where you take the Montani Trail 5 path and pass by Castel Montani di Sotto before returning to the starting point.
