This is a beautiful boardwalk trek. Bring plenty of water and bug spray just in case. Accessibility: There are do not appear to be any designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of Knight Academy Road at the east end of the trail. The trail surface is a wooden boardwalk that mostly has edge barriers or railings and typically at least 5 feet wide. The estimated grade is gentle (3% or less). Along the way, you will see giant cypress trees, a limerock ravine, and beautiful views of the river. There are a couple of nice boardwalk crossings and the path is well-shaded with trees that line the route.

This beautiful area takes visitors to a historic bridge. Walk along the river and view the area where steamships once passed through. For those who want a longer hike, this trail extends along the Florida Trail, next to the Withlacoochee River. Bug spray is recommended due to the number of bugs present in the warm months.

This is a scenic path alongside the clean creeks and the cypress trees. It is mostly shaded during the whole route. This area is a good choice for those with kids and there are many opportunities to stop and enjoy a picnic by the water. The trail is well-maintained and easy to navigate, with beautiful scenery along the way.
