This hike is the second stage of the Chemin d'Ossau (also called Voie d'Ossau). This route goes from the village of Laruns to the hamlet of Gabas, along the Gave d'Ossau river. Along the way, you will cross the spa town of Eaux-Chaudes, and you will be able to see its thermal baths. In Gabas, you can see the chapel of the Sainte-Christine du Somport hospital which welcomed pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela.

Before going to the wood of Lars, you will visit the typical alleys of the village of Laruns.

Walk in the mountain village of Laruns, the capital of Haut Ossau, in the Pyrenees. Along the way, you will pass in front of the Saint-Pierre church rebuilt in 1892 after a major flood. You will see several washhouses, medieval streets, as well as the castle of Espalungue, which dates from the 16th century.
