A great walk through the city center of Lausanne right on the beautiful Lake Geneva. From the train station, Rue du Petit Chêne enters the city and you pass the stunning 10th-century Église Saint-Laurent. Continue through the Place de la Riponne and around the Palais de Rumine to the Place de la Cathédrale with the majestic Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Lausanne. You return to the starting point via the Place Saint-François.

The trail starts at Lausanne train station and leads through the city. It comes along paved roads until one reaches the forest Foret des Stauvabelin. It moves along paths and then goes back to the beginning. In the forest one also passes the lake Lac de Sauvabelin and can enjoy. This trail can be a bit muddy after a few bad weather days.

The Route du cœur starts on the quays of the city of Lausanne in the canton of Vaud. The climb through Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a view overlooking the lake with these beautiful vines. The Route then takes the direction of Romont in the canton of Friborg. This stage is the 1st stage of the road to the heart.

A very nice hike along the shores of Lake Geneva from the beautiful city of Lausanne via Vevey to the finish in Montreux, all in the Swiss canton of Vaud. The whole route is marked with the number seventy on the yellow hiking signs and is very well signposted. The terrain is relatively flat and varied, with fantastic views.
