Oranje Hotel Leeuwarden

The Leeuwarden NS-Walk is a city walk through the old center, with which you can see the most beautiful places and learn a lot about the history of the city. Along the canals you will find countless cafes and restaurants and unique small shops. The city has a rich Hofstad past, which gives the city a unique history. You will encounter much of this history along the way, walking past the Stadhouderlijk Hof and the Prinsentuin.

City walk through Leeuwarden, the beautiful historic city filled with canals and mounds, dating back to the Middle Ages. Here you walk from monument to monument, surrounded by old facades. You visit the iconic leaning tower De Oldehove, pleasant shopping streets and the many museums. The route takes you past the museum Historical Center Leeuwarden, the Jewish monument, Nature Museum and much more. You also walk along the canals of the city, through alleys and markets and squares.

With this museum walk you stroll through the historic small alleys of the city, past impressive buildings such as the Grote Kerk and the Kuiperian Boniface church. But this walk is mainly dedicated to the many museums in the city. For example, you can walk past the Fries Museum, the Nature Museum, Pier Pander and Ceramics Museum Princessehof.

Long cycle route through the province of Friesland, starting from Leeuwarden. The route runs along the towns of Grou, Akkrum, Joure, Sint Nicolaasga, Bakhuizen, Workum and Bolsward. Along the way you pass some special pieces of nature, such as the Sneekermeer area through which you drive, and the coasts of the IJsselmeer.
