La Berneuse is a mountain peak in the Bernese Alps above Leysin and lies just below the summit of the Tour d'AÏ. The top is connected with lifts and has a panoramic restaurant. The summit is at 2,045 meters in the canton of Vaud. It is possible to shorten this route and go up and/or down with the Leysin-La Berneuse cable car. This is the second segment of the Tour of the Vaud Alps which crosses pastures and several forests to Les Fers. A very beautiful hike with magnificent views of the Lac de l'Hongrin, the Dents du Midi, and the Dent de Corjon which reaches the famous summit Tour de Famelon (2138m). From here the trail continues towards the Pierre du Moëllé via the Mont d'Or and arrives as far as Les Mosses. The route is well marked with the number 46 on the yellow hiking signs.

This great ascent hike leads to the Tour de Mayen (2326m), a wonderful sunny path follows an alpine road to the Mayen Hut(1841m). This serves local specialties and sells homemade cheese. The last part is steeper and rockier. From the top, hikers have a magnificent view of Lake Geneva and the Aiguilles du Midi.

This beautiful hike on the edge of the Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut Regional Nature Park starts at Leysin train station and climbs directly to the top of the Col du Luissel (1835m) with a splendid view of the Berneuse restaurant (2048m) and the summit of the mountain of La Riondaz (1981m). The path then passes through the Berneuse and descends through the small lake of Ai and the Lake of Mayen where the Refuge Le Mayen (1841m) is also located.
