The route runs along the water on a gravel beach path and bridge wall, past Baggeby, Lidingsberg, Larsberg, Larsbergs bridge, Dalénum new residential area, Kappsta nature reserve, Mölnastranden, Mölna bridge and over Mölna meadow. Along the hiking trail passes Millesgården, Baggeby Gård, Gropen's fishing cottage, the memorial site for Raoul Wallenberg in Kappsta, remains of Mölna's old mill area. Fishing opportunities are Parkbryggan, Tykö brygga and Mölna brygga.

The Lidingö race with its 30 km length is the world's largest terrain race and gathers several tens of thousands of participants and spectators annually. The course has fine prepared gravel paths for running, cycling, hiking and is used as a ski trail in winter.
