The trail starts in Locarno in the sunny canton of Ticino and goes up to the Madonna del Sasso. From here the route proceeds on the Sentiero Collina Bassa and then on the Via delle Vigne on the hills of Gudo up to Monte Carasso. Wonderful tour overlooking Lake Maggiore. The region is like a small paradise of sun and summer. To return to the starting point you can take the train or the bus.

A great, short hike above Locarno on the beautiful Lago Maggiore. The path begins in Locarno Monti and leads above the outskirts through an idyllic forest on leisurely paths to Contra. There are several viewpoints along the route and also the Capèla Rota. This chapel was probably built in the early 17th century but was never completed. According to legends, this was one of the many refuge chapels in the region.

The start of this tour is at the port of Locarno. At first you climb steeply towards Orselina (cobbled).
