The estimated grade is mostly gentle, all 3% or less except for a steep 10% section at 0.5 miles when going south.

The path's surface is mostly gravel/road and singletrack natural ground.

At the top, there are scenic views of the pine forest, lake, and rocky outcrops. This is one of the most popular trails in the park to enjoy.

This beautiful trail is located in Daingerfield State Park and travels the perimeter of the lake. The trail is mostly shaded and travels through a beautiful forested area. For those interested in camping, the Cedar Ridge Camping Area is located right near the lakeshore for a fee. The trail is not well-marked and downloading the offline map is suggested to help navigate.
