Loop from Pinetum de Dennenhorst through the Lunterse Buurtbos. A forest walk between old trees and many different trees. The Lunterse Buurtbos has a special network of paths, which you can use to meander through the trees. With the route you also visit the special lookout tower De Koepel.

At the beginning of the 19th century, much of the area was forested, both for employment and timber production. Along the way in the woods you will come across some traces of the old moors where you get an idea of what it originally looked like here.

Loop trail over the former sand quarry of Lunteren. The sand quarry has been out of use for a long time, but the traces of this industry are still clearly visible in the landscapes. Where the Hooge Berg hill used to be, you now walk through a pit. The route leads you completely around the sand, along the forest edges. You will also visit the Timeline Staircase, where you can see representations of historical periods on various steps, from ice age to sand quarry.

The campsite is located in the woods, so you start on the forest trails that lead you to the former sand quarry. Here you walk with views over the drifting dunes. You hike a short distance through meadows, after which you end up on the edge of the vast heaths of the Wekeromse Zand (dogs are not allowed here). You walk back to the campsite through a mix of grasslands...
