The path leads through the Meggerwald directly at the Luzern Verkehrshaus train station. After a short time you follow paved roads into the forest. Then you reach the path and can wonderfully go for a run or go for a walk with the children. This trail can be a bit muddy after a few bad weather days.

The path leads a bit through the center and also past the main station and follows the promenade to St. Niklause and Kastanienbaum. Then the path turns and it passes the settlement boundary of Hörw and continues climbing slightly up through the Bireggwald with a great view of the lake and then leads back to Lucerne.
