This is one of the oldest forts in the region being built in the 12th century by Kolhapur Silahara chief Bhoja II. Being so old this fort has seen a lot of things and if the walls could talk there would be so much they would tell. There isn't a lot of greenery in this region but this dry arduous terrain is something one should experience, especially at sunrise, sunset, and even night. Due to less light pollution, the night sky is very pretty and is perfect for those star trail photographs.

This is a beautiful mountain biking trail in the vicinity of Mahabaleshwar on the banks of the river Konya nearby the village of Vengale. Verdant green environments make up the surroundings of this location that are not only green but highly diverse as well with many different species of animals, birds, and plants to observe and explore. Almost all of the trail is paved with only a few sections that are smaller dirt paths.
