The trail starts in a nice meadow of wildflowers. Some sections of the trail are mowed, and wide open with no shade. Keep that in mind on hot summer days especially with dogs or children. Off of the main trail are two wooded loop trails. There are some boardwalks, and they are fairly easy to navigate. This is a nice walk with a variety of scenery. It's probably best to do this hike in the evening or in the spring and fall when temperatures are cool and the sun isn't beating down on you.

Laurel Marsh through the flat lands off the parking lot. Keep right all through the trail unless you want to see the bridge, but keep right there too. Winds around back to the parking lot.

Cheney Rail Trail is a point-to-point stone dust trail that runs just west of Main Street. The trail starts at the North End behind the CVS at the corner of Main and North Main and runs south-west ending at the parking lot of the apartment complex at the corner of Forest and Pines Street in the Historic Mill District. There is a large footbridge with access to Center Springs Park. The section south of the bridge was completed at the end of 2019 and uses the old rail line bridge over Center...
