This is a beautiful historical walk through the archaeological park of the city of Segesta. This was founded by the Elymians between the 2nd and 1st millennium BC by Trojan refugees who crossed the Mediterranean Sea. Noteworthy for their beauty are the completely intact Doric temple and the temple built on a hill outside the city and considered one of the most beautiful temples of antiquity. In the summer there are numerous shows of various kinds that take place in the theatre.

This beautiful island which is part of the Stagnone Islands Reserve of Marsala is an unusual and pleasant place to wander. On the mainland there is a car park and a ticket office at the ferry pier. Entrance to the island and museum costs € 9 at the time of writing, while a return ferry costs € 5.
