Attractive loop hike to the Kösseine. The well-signposted route leads from the Luisenburg car park, which is subject to a charge, along good paths to the summit of the Kösseine. Here you can discover the huge, 300 million year old granite boulders, caves and gorges that give the landscape a mysterious charm. There are several impressive viewpoints and opportunities to rest. This route leads through the nature park Steinwald to the castle ruins Weißenstein. The Castle was built in the 11th century and by the 13th century, was already a fortified position. The castle changed hands in the 14th century to the Notthafft Nobility who continued to add on to it. It was destroyed and rebuilt several times during the various battles for the Bavarian Throne after which, in 1550, was completely abandoned.

Popular circular hike in the Fichtelgebirge nature park near Tröstau. The well-marked hiking route leads from the hikers' car park at the edge of the forest to the mountain range of Köseine. It goes past the Kosseinekreuz, the Kosseinehaus and the summit of the Großer Kosseine. Especially from the observation tower you have great views of the Fichtel Mountains.

Varied hiking trail in the Steinwald Nature Park, Bavaria. A lot of variety is guaranteed on this hike in the stone forest. After a good five and a half kilometers you reach the ruins of Weissenstein Castle, an impressive rock castle.
