Walk in the Béthuzon Valley, in the Cévennes National Park, starting from the charming village of Meyrueis at the foot of Mont Aigoual. This route crosses a forest and pastures to lead you to the castle of Roquedols, a monument built in the 16th century, classified as a historical monument.

This route is the third stage of the GR®66. You will cross the Cévennes National Park, from the village of Meyrueis, at the entrance to the Jonte gorges, to the village of Espérou. Along the way, you will cross the forest of Mont Aigoual, and you will pass by a Cévennes summit located at 1,565 meters above sea level, where there is a Météo France observatory.

Walk from the tourist village of Meyrueis, located at the entrance of the Jonte Gorges and at the foot of the famous Mont Aigoual at the gates of the Cévennes National Park. This trail begins in the centre of the village and then makes a loop around a small mountain at an altitude of 830 meters. You will cross the Brèze, whose floods that follow the Cevenol storms can be violent and significant.
