This short hike in the Cévennes National Park is located near the Bastides in Lozère on the Causse Méjean plateau. The route leads hikers to the hamlet of Douzes via a path in a beautiful coniferous forest that follows the Ravin des Bastides. The hamlet is located in the Gorges de la Jonte and hikers will discover impressive views of the cliffs.

This hiking route near Saint-Pierre-des-Tripiers in the Massif de Causse Méjean leads into a forest of Scots pine, in the Cévennes National Park. Hikers will be able to discover the caves of La Baumelle and l'Homme mort, the Gallo-Roman village of resin workers, and the arches of Saint-Pierre, in the department of Lozère. The arches of Saint-Pierre are arches created by the erosion of dolomite.

This section of the Grande Randonnée 6 (GR®6) route starts from the village of Saint-Pierre-des-Tripiers in the Causse Méjean in the Lozère department and leads to the village of Ners in the Gard department. Along the way, hikers will cross the Cévennes National Park, the Gorges du Tarn, the Col de la Caumette, and the old fortified city of Meyrueis.

This hiking route starting from Saint-Pierre-des-Tripiers in the Causse Méjean, plateau of the Cévennes National Park, leads hikers to Hyelzas via Les Bastides and Le Courby. The route passes through the Ravine des Bastides as well as the Ferme Caussenarde d'Autrefois in Hyelzas which is open to visitors. The first part of the route follows the route of the GR®6.
