This trail located in the Durance valley is the first segment of the GR®653D, a long hike that goes to Santiago de Compostela, called the Via Domitia. This route starts at the winter sports resort of Montgenèvre, and takes you to the village of Savines-le-Lac, on the banks of the Durance. Along the way, you will pass through the woods of Sestriere, the town of Briançon, as well as the villages of Les Vigneaux and Châteauroux-les-Alpes.
